Carnevale di Venezia

When one of the world’s most famous carnivals winks at augmented reality, everything plays on duality. This is how a magical world of masks is born, unveiling masks, parade scenes that come to life and even the clock and the Marcian Lion in San Marco Square come alive to amaze and amuse.

The project was realised on the occasion of Carnival 2016. The app made it possible to visualise visual and sound installations in San Marco Square, as well as to ‘wear’ some of them thanks to the tens of thousands of masks distributed in the city to trigger a real ‘mask hunt’.
