Il Mostro del Lago

Online

Un gioco da tavolo ispirato alla leggenda del Mostro che avvolge la Rocca

Prepare to experience a unique adventure with Il Mostro del Lago (The Monster of the Lake), the board game that takes players to the heart of a legend from Angera.
An evil Monster coils around the Rocca di Angera, protected by an impenetrable barrier. To confront and banish it, the heroes must travel through time in search of ancient relics that will give them the power they need to win.

The game pays homage to the legend of the Monster of the Lake and the coat of arms of the city of Angera: a shield featuring a seven-coiled snake holding a human in its jaws. This symbol is linked to the powerful Visconti family, who ruled Milan and its territory, including Angera, from the 13th century to 1447. The Rocca di Angera remained under their rule until 1449, when it passed to the Borromeo family, who still own it today.

Each game box is inspired by the artifacts housed at the Civic Archaeological Museum and the sites of the Angera Diffused Museum, which allow you to retrace 14,000 years of the city’s history.

  • Number of players: 2 to 4
  • Recommended age: 7 years and up
  • Single game time: 30 minutes
  • Language: Italian

In the box you will find:

  • 1 illustrated board
  • 4 tokens
  • 2 dice
  • 1 card with 48 placeholders
  • 1 booklet containing the instructions and  7 augmented reality stories

The Lake Monster combines myth, history, and fun in an experience that blends culture and play, transforming the legend into a strategic adventure to be enjoyed together.

The game is the result of a co-design developed during an artistic residency involving creatives selected for their interdisciplinary skills and their ability to combine analog and digital in a continuous redefinition of the design of their work.
